China·Wenzhou Pharmaceutical Summit was held in Wenzhou

As one of the important activities of the 2020 World Young Scientist Summit, the International Young Medical Scientist Forum & China·Wenzhou Pharmaceutical Summit was held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, on October 18. The forum was sponsored by Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology and Wenzhou Municipal People's Government, and organized by the People's Government of Lucheng District and Organizing Committee of China Pharma Summit. It was also co-organized by the Chinese Pharmacological Society, Central Youth Committee of Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, and the ASEM Cooperation Centre for Science Technology and Innovation (ASEM-CCSTI).

 

 

With the theme of "Information Technology and Pharmaceutical Innovation", the forum was held in forms of international connections, online and offline. A number of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering academicians, and domestic and foreign experts were invited to give keynote presentations and special reports. Cao Jianlin, deputy director of the Education, Science, Health and Sports Committee of the 13th CPPCC National Committee, and leaders of Wenzhou City and Lucheng District attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

 

In the Academician Forum section, Academician Fan Daiming, Academician Zhang Xuemin, Academician Jin Ningyi, Academician Wang Qi, Academician Li Lanjuan, and Professor Michael Spedding, the Academician of the French National Academy of Pharmacy gave the presentations focusing on epidemic prevention and control, vaccine and drug R & D, and post-epidemic medical development.

 

 

Li Luming, Dean of the School of Aerospace Engineering, Tsinghua University; Wang Yongjun, President of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University; Jiang Baoguo, President of Peking University People's Hospital; and Lu Qingjun, Deputy Director of the Telemedicine Management and Training Center, National Health Commission gave the special reports on their respective cutting-edge scientific research fields.

 

On the day of the summit, two sub-forums of "Seminar on Young Scientists Research Projects" and "Academic Seminar of Chinese Pharmacological Society" were also successfully held.
